These are just a series of videos showing the Cygnus quest chain. There wont be any action or anything like that so if that doesnt appeal to you then there isnt much point going on.
To view the original creation process watch this video:
With the New Cygnus System implemented in KMS you simply just create a new character like normal but are then greeted by an extra step. You pick between Cygnus and Adventurer (Later they will add in the Aran race). You just select what you want and continue. Then you just make a character like normal except the graphics are all Cygnus themed. You start of on a new training area on Ereb, basically this is just Maple Island 2.0.
The GM Story Board has nothing to with Ereb its something everyone gets in KMS from time to time. Think of it as an in game Newsletter.
As you get to the end of the first map a little annoying creature will appear. It is basically a guide. You can talk to it and select different bits of information from a list. But they will all basically pop up as you make your way along. I guess its handy for new players but if you have done Maple Island before it will just be an annoyance.
Your first quest is just to talk to the guy on the next map. So go and talk to him and you will get some potions and enough exp to level. Something you probably noticed in the video is that there is no AP. It is all automatically done for you now. You will be able to sort it when you advance. Next up you have to kill the monster on the map and pick up the etc. Just like the Jr. Sentinels on Maple Island. You are rewarded with your fabulous hat and dress that would make any prom queen jealous. So we must wear them at once, we wouldnt want to be under dressed after all.
In the next map all you need to do is kill 3 monsters and collect one etc. The monsters dont normally drop maple leafs etc it is just because I filmed this during the 6th Anniversary. Next up its time for us to make a chair. Too bad this wasnt around for original Cygnus characters but at least they went back and added it for the new ones. It is very easy all you need are 2 items. I can only see this being hard if you are attempting it near the launch of Cygnus when everyone is making one. Hand over the items and you get a nice new chair. It is the same as the green relaxer just more Ereb looking. The next quest is your standard quiz. It wouldnt be Maple without one. Then you have to go and speak to the Cygnus Queen.
Talk to her again and you will receive your first medal. It doesnt do anything its just for show but youll get a proper one at 10. Next talk to her advisor Nineheart (The androgynous male with the monacle). He will tell you to go and speak to the trainer. So make your way left through the town and out the other side till you meet him (He is the Military looking guy holding a whip or a cane, how kinky). You can also click on Shin Su (the holy beast) to get a buff. Im not sure of thats a well known fact or not but either way now you know, and knowing is half the battle as our friend G.I. Joe would have us believe.
The quests from now are just the same as they used to be in the old system with a few cut out. All this NPC will ask you do is basically slaughter little cute animals so thats easy. First he will ask you to kill 15 of the little purple creatures. I wont bother naming them as they will likely be translated different. MapleSEA seems to want to call the creatures on Ereb Titis but lets not go there.. Anyway once you have bashed 15 of their skulls in go back and collect your reward. Each one of these quest basically gives you enough exp to level up each time so it doesnt take long to level a Cygnus.
