The previous big ass Megane with its upright rear screen evoking memories of late 70's American cars such as the Cadillac Seville was stylish , elegant , chic but unreliable. Renault appears to be gunning for the Golf with the new Megane and have gone bland in the process. The trim quality may be top drawer, but as a whole it lacks emotion, the only car in this sector having any character being the Nissan Qashqai which shares the new Meganes floorpan.
A disappointing replacement IMO.
