I can't get over this - I love it! I get really really really tired of watching hgtv anymore (so I usually don't). People rip out their perfectly good kitchens, better than mine anyway, to put in their must-have granite counter tops, etc... I sort of feel sorry for this kind of discontent.

Congratulations on the upcoming family. I wondered what you would do if... But, you answered that.

Must be just lovely to sleep in that tiny loft in the rain. Beautiful house!

If I ever need a house of my own, I would let Tumbleweed build me a 20 square feet home. Now that would be lovely :D

This type of code business is why Jay puts his on WHEELS...it then is classified as an RV! As an RV it is exempt from the building codes!

You have to really love your family to live in this house with them. I think it would work out better as a guest home for the in laws..lol

I love the idea of a tiny private space like this. I love my books and my tools, but a little hide-a-way would be lovely for all sorts of reasons.

What I don't get is why he has all those pots and pans when all he has is a little toaster oven.

In one of the last shots you can see what looks like a two-burner stove to the right of the sink. 6:35, under the window.
