Time's Up! held their annual Polar Bear Dance Ride this Saturday, April 30th to draw attention to the plight of the polar bears.

These polar bears migrated from the melting glaciers of the Arctic to tell New Yorkers about the effects of global warming on their habitat. Time's Up! hooked them up with bikes for their tour of the City. It wasn't long before the bears yearned for home.

On Saturday they united at Time's Square on a quest for ice which led them to the City's ice cream vendors and fountains of 6th Avenue and Columbus Circle.

They ended up at the Central Park Zoo responding to the call of their furry friends and dancing to the tunes of Ice Ice Baby, Hot in Here, & Disco Inferno.

It's predicted that by 2050, the Alaskan polar bears will be extinct.

  • as a year round cycle commuter in a major city, i think i speak for many when i say "thanks for making it harder to be a real cyclist, thanks for making it more difficult for people to take cycling seriously as transportation."

  • This movie probably diverts people from cycling. Really.

  • People like you are the worst thing to happen to urban cycling since super-wide-body SUVs. If I encountered your moronic cavalcade while driving my Ford Excursion I would wantonly mow you down.

  • I don't think this deserves the hateful comments and dislikes but I understand. Good intentions? Direct action? Lost in translation?

  • we have subways in ny, so riding a bike does nothing for the environment. go back to portland you pathetic dorks, and stop giving the nypd and everyone else reasons to hate bikers. fucking losers. you and the 'critical mass' fucktards.

  • I love bikes, I hate 'protests' like this

  • so first i was like, "no way, bikes are stupid, get the #### out of my way, losers." But then I saw this video and I was all, "wow good point i'm going to sell my car and ride a bike everywhere."

  • I ride a bike because it's fun, its great exercise, and it's transportation. It's not for saving polar bears, which I eat for lunch on occasion.

  • What the fuck...
