The pastoral note in the event program stated ,in effect that that the purpose of the Mass as being to increase the awareness of the ABILITIES of the afflicted, in particular , but not exclusively, to aid in the work of the Church.
?MY involvement as photographer and maker of the video is to expand that beyond the walls of the Cathedral and the Diocese ..showing the blind and deaf reading and singing and playing music...as it is best done, in praise of God...but exemplifying what tremendous capability they represent in other aspects of life as well ...particularly WORK and companionability. It's not just potential. It is actuality.. here and now.
? It's a tough , but not impossible job for a slide show to motivate the general public into making major changes in their lives and get them to start busting stereotypes . If we have succeeded in heightening your appreciation of the abilities of the folks we've shown here and those like them everywhere, , it is now up to YOU to include these folks into your own life in friendship AND EMPLOYMENT. We can SUGGEST it ...but only YOU can DO it.
Your life experience will be enriched....and your business will , too.
