Pre-Battle: Now's the time to equip those Defense Rings, and focus on protecting against magic.
Battle: With ~2000 HP, high MA, lots of devastating status spells and Critical Quick, Queklain is a force to be reckoned with that requires great caution. The simplest strategy is to exploit his dependence on magic for damage output. Reducing his MA with Mind Ruin won't render him completely helpless, but with the right reactions (Hamedo/Counter Magic) can lead to a steady victory without triggering his reaction. He can't be slowed, but his CT can be reduced to 0 with Persuade or Last Dance, affording extra turns. In general, just avoid staying clumped together to discourage use of Nightmare. (still inflicts undead, even with Defense Rings, which will quickly lead to death by Raise 2)
