  • To the person who took the video. Was there much swell to the water as you swam along? I am very interested in recreating a Lake Tanganyika tank and want to know if a wave making device would be accurate. Do the fish gently sway as they feed over the rocks?

  • Not sure if a wave machine could be accurate but it will be the closest you can get. There is a swell just like a sea or an ocean - it was pretty calm when I was there, and you can see the fishes being moved around (c. 2min45sec onwards). Would be good to create a 'surge zone' with shallower water - goby cichlids and young tropheus would love it! Need a big tank for that...

  • I love the wave action in the shallows. Hard to replicate in a tank.

  • A swimming pool might fit the bill! One day...

  • whats the song?

  • It's Congolese music. The song is called "lassan yembila ngai" by Nico and African Siesta on the album "Nico and African Siesta 1968-1973"

  • im trying to recreate a habitat for some brevis/mult dwarf cichilds and iwas wondering if you saw any lol...i know theres a LOT of fish in this vid but i didnt think it would hurt to ask...nice vid =)

  • love cichlids

  • Very nice video, thanks for sharing.

  • I was watching video of the the oil leak on the bottom of the gulf on TV. I noticed liquid under the sea water I'm sure it is natural gas under immense pressure. Then it hit me cold ,what if all that gas were to burp like what happened in Africa at lake Nyos which killed thousands.

The path of least resistance is up the continental shelf towards the populated coast . If the the oil slick can be seen from space I shiver at the prospect of how much natural gas is waiting to be released.

  • very nice man thnks alot, this is my dream vacation

  • On my short list of favorites. What route did you take to get to Mpulungu? How did you find travelling in Zambia?

  • What temperature water?

  • Very Nice!
