  • @UnRoman111 is God only in the Image of Christ ? Is God onlythere, where the Holy Cross is?

This hymn is worshipping the third divine person in the Holy Trinity, The Holy Spirit.

Think about it, and you may understand, why there is no cross, neither an image of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, in this video.

    May God always bless you

    Eduard

  • This music is very moving, and shows how wonderfully creative human being can be. Whether you believe or not doesn't diminish the beauty and power of this music.

  • Guys there is absolutely no inductive evidence, or deductive proof for the existence of a deity that isn't easily overwhelmed by counter arguments. I say this not to upset anyone here, but to inform you all that if you so desire you can have a personal relationship with reality and join me on the path of truth and light. I implore you, search your heart for the truth so that you might come to accept reality.

  • Amen.

  • @NihilNominis You made two basic accusations: 1) that the Biblical position is inconsistent, which I countered with the doctrine of the Fall that unifies the seeming contradictories, and 2) that Christianity demands the believer hate himself, which I answered by reminding you that self-hate is incompatible with willing the good, indeed the greatest good, for oneself.

  • @Hellskald I'm not saying that it is a necessary conclusion of unaided reason to believe in the Christian God. Nevertheless, Christianity is not open to the criticism that it demands believers hate themselves, since it demands that believers pursue what is held to be the highest good. To will and pursue the good for oneself is undoubtedly to love oneself in the truest sense, not merely to tolerate oneself.

What sense would "Love thy neighbour as thyself" make if we were to hate ourselves?

  • @NihilNominis and how can you be sure it is someone's best interest to pursue the afterlife presented in the Christian Testament? After all, other cultures wrote OTHER BOOKS about how to live, so to answer this question, you can't just say, "well, it says in the Bible..." The bottom line is that in many of those other books, there is no fall story. That is one creation myth from one culture; why should I consider myself sinful on behalf of the god of the Jews? I'm German-American...

  • @Hellskald The 'missing link' as it were between those two positions is, of course, the doctrine of the Fall. I can't really blame you for missing it, given that it is treated upon only throughout the entire Bible. [/sarcasm]

I'm not sure where you get this idea that Christians are to hate themselves. We are to deny ourselves, but ultimately the pursuit of virtue and of eternal life is one certainly undertaken in self-interest. And to love something is to want what is best for it.

  • @UnRoman111 you sir are a moron, youve no right to demand christ be put in this video. the creator of this video choose these images to be the background. you think that every holy/religious song should portray images of christ? you close minded and i pity you...for you are hollow

  • Christianity is so backward; shall we love nature as something (the Jewish) god made, or hate it as sinful and leading us astray? The book of Nature: is it the book of god or the book of the devil? BOTH are justifiable positions in the Bible. Try another religion that doesn't require you hate yourself and submit to one man in order to be a good person.
