She gets a polite round of applause from the Nashville cats who never accepted the new generation of singers and musicians. Hank talks about it in Family Tradition. Emmylou was always more country than Nashville ever was. Nashville turned Appalachian music into a nationwide salable product. But it was never authentic. It sold well and made all those stuffed shirts in the audience a ton of $. The process is now complete; country music is dead as hell.

Very nice song written by Dolly Pardon, & sung by Emmy Lou, can't get much better than that - aren't we all blessed, thanks for the early songs...
