Vanni Operations (6/2/2009)

This video shows civilians escaping from the LTTE held territory over difficult terrain. It also mentions how the LTTE used a (underage) LTTE woman cadre, who pretended to be surrendering, as a human bomb to slow down the advancement of SL Troops. It also shows the SL troops planning ahead and a commando says that they are at the final stage of the war and they will eradicate terrorism, bringing peace to all Sri Lankan people soon, with the blessing of the president and the Army commander. It also mentions that the final trump of the LTTE seems to be bringing suicide bombers to attack the SL Army front. It further shows 'Chalai' as a good example of LTTE using civilians as a human shield but the SL army has been successful in avoiding collateral damage. LTTE has lost it's supply from sea with the fall of the last sea tiger camp of 'Thalai'. This is all government BS. They are acting (aren't they) ? LTTE never uses human shields, if they did, why would they allow civilian passage in the first place. (the stories which the government and Tamil people there say about LTTE shooting at escaping civilians are utterly false) And the satement of the SL Army commando - how can the war be over if there's no Eelam ! Then and then only would it be over! Further to that, there are many other LTTE sea tiger bases - they don't necessarily have to be in Sri Lanka - there are one's in India, Canada, UK and Australia - to mention a few.. and did I mention that LTTE never uses civilians as a human shield?
