  • do you still love this knife? i want to get one, but they sure ain't cheap.

  • @nightmarefacility The size is great. I have fallen out of love with the handle. Certainly over priced now.

  • @Charlz9mm Why have you fallen out of love with the handle? I was looking into buying this knife as a concealed carry self defense knife ( I did not want a folder). What would you change about it?

  • @EL3minutero The handle cannot be used in a reverse grip. It is over engineered for a traditional forward grip which I consider a limitation. Pulling a fixed blade from a belt sheath must facilitate both grips. Any limitation in that regard I consider potentially a fatal flaw.

  • @Charlz9mm What don't you like about the handle? Curious, as I'm thinking about this as my next spyderco, along with the Caly 3.5 when it comes out.

  • @jntroisi The handle is designed for one type of grip. There are no other options. It does not work for reverse-grip-edge-in. Nope one way or the highway.

  • @abot19 you are right ive been more educated recently

  • @MrNightshade69 First off the handle is made of micarta there is no way it would be slippery in any condition its got finger choil and heavy gimping on the spine, no traction issues here. Secondly its a full flat grind putting a fuller would be pointless and it weights a mere 3.2 oz. Third there is a lanyard hole so put the paracord in yourself.

  • French commando? Oxymoron much?

  • my knife taste is changing..some time ago..i thought..what is this knife? it looks like a kitchen knife..but now..it's the most beautiful knife for me..i like the fred perrin designs very much now..the only thing is..in europe i have to pay 229 euro dollars for this knife..this are 325 US dollars..this is kind of insane..this price for a small kitchen knife..i am kidding..if i could effort it..i would buy it..but it's insanly expensive..

  • the handle is crap and slippery but beautiful blade needs to be skeletonized and thick paracord id buy one

  • thank you for this post. I was thinking of getting the tech lock, but after wathing this video, I changed my mind.

  • Excellent analysis. I also own a prototype of the Steet Beat with a "rubber like" handle.

  • i just hate how once in a while a new knife comes out that is really great but there just has to be a hole in the blade, i mean what kind of shit is that? it doesn't make the blade any better
