Your comparison with all other schools having problems fails to fully consider that downtown Milwaukee has far more concentrated crime than nice Whitefish bay-UWM, UW Madison; than even top schools like UofChicago, Columbia, USC, UMinn, J.Hopkins, UC Berkeley, Albert Einstein. Marquette itself especially has MORE history of a lot of problems/poor facilities, and perimeter crime/poor. A lot of your perceived "improved campus safety does not reveal the massive crimes that occurred or still do.

@breuhaha And as a final statement, the entire University of Marquette, the Catholic community, and the City of Milwaukee should not be seen as at fault for your now disheartening views and opinions.

I say, blame the people, the individual people that were involved in each act. Please, don't blame the entirety, because it wasn't their fault and they didn't have the power to do anything, simply because they were either ill-informed, or not informed at all.

@breuhaha Now, the Catholic faith can be seen as a sort of 'cult-like' faith. However, it is far from it. We don't set out to kill anyone. We don't set out to hurt anyone. And as a former Catholic, you should know that it is considered sinful to be anything but humble.

I gave up on going to church, and I never got confirmed into the Catholic faith strictly because of the rising business aspect of it. Most parishioners are there to boost the idea of Catholicism, not the faith and beliefs.

@breuhaha I'm not sure when you graduated from Marquette, but campus safety has improved tremendously over the past 10 years. It's a shame to hear about this dental student and all the other misfortunes that have happened with Marquette affiliated, but I have to pull in the unfortunate events of every other college. Madison, the UofM, etc, every university has something wrong with it, but with Marquette most other schools, the pros weigh out the cons. That is why so many people choose to attend.

@breuhaha Okay, first of all, I agree that Milwaukee is a disgusting place to live. I am not from Milwaukee, so it's not exactly 'my city'.

However, you make it seem that both Milwaukee and Marquette are equally corrupt, disgusting, crime filled, etc. Sure, the campus is right in the middle of the city, so we are bound to have more or less crime than other schools, but that's what you get for having a campus in a city, such as the U of M in St. Paul. Their crime rate is just as bad.

What this has to do with this site is that everywhere else posting about crime in Milwaukee, youtube has placed"comments have been disabled.;" likewise, and critical and truthful postings about crime and problems at Marquette receive the same. I still have our copies before they took them all down, and these were not my posting alone, I'm not trying to get away with any corrupt lies and am simply attempt to show proof and truth.
