RBS 70 has been exported to 35 countries and it is combat proven...

Guess why US where afraid to fly Helicopters over former Yugoslavia, well they had this system.

Well, one thing's for sure, it's certainly not the semi-automatic robot missile system. Basically, as evidenced in the recent Libya conflict, powers that have access to cruise missiles do not stage attacks with one or two. They will use a 'shock and awe' approach. Only time you will use single missiles is when hitting terrorist targets, but then they're not likely to have the robot missile system with accompanying Ericsson radar system-effective though it may be...

Hehe, ser ut som att man uppgraderat den fina gamla SSARB-sugen lite, automatisk målfördelning.

Men smyga bakom fiendens linjer - nja, som luftvärnare har jag distinta minnen av att pluton chefen oftas körde sin 245 upp till stridsställningen... :)

Not very effective against 100+ incoming cruise missiles from offshore surface and sub-surface vessels, in a short period of time, and at night.

Any attacker that has the capability to launch 1 missile will have the ability to launch more, so this system can be only part of the any solution.

Of course the system has its merits - e.g. unjammable as laser guided, but it generally always needs radar support, even in manual mode with an operator.
