Thanks RubyTea! I think I was just fortunate the piping worked out - I was doing it at 2am and was the 5th time I've piped in royal icing :) I was quite relieved when I didn't make a mess of the writing!

Congratulations on your upcoming new addition to the family! This is a beautiful cake with wonderful detail. The stripes on the cake box add such a nice element. I know you didn't count on doing them. And the train and characters are so adorable!
