as a professional piper..id say this recording is not that of the person playing...at least not at the same time..the fingers are in different time..nice tune though.

If you want an Overton, get an Goldie Overton Low D.
If you want a Guinness, get it in a Pint glass. Slainte !

I love the sound of the Low D. I have one of my own, sadly not as high quality as Overton: it's an Asarkar, Indian made. Makes your hands smell like metal after touching it, and it's got some dents from the shipping. I hope you can imagine how frustrating it is when the whistle doesn't respond well to note changes; it likes to squeak with vibrato. Good work!

@Dolly020 its different in that you use your fingers more like a piper in other words you cover the holes with different part of the finger and the breath control is a little diferent too but its just practise try and have fun you will love it good luck

Is there a particular reason you don't use the "pipers" grip on your top hand?
I love your sound. The way you slide the notes makes it sound like a fiddle. Amazing.

What a SOUND! Just know the basics on a tinwhistle but like to switch to a low D. Would it be very difficult to adapt?
