Shiver ~73

-Evalina-
After bandaging Hathaway's side.. he wouldn't let me sew it.. I followed Cal upstairs. Lucian was up, sitting in the rocker in mine and Cal's room, and Cal was pacing the length of the floor.
"Cal.."
"I expected them to take me but they took Phate? What sense--"
"--Cal--"
"--does that make? What could Clyde want other than my life. That's the most important thing to him--"
"--Cal st--"
"--But to take Phate!?"
I flashed in front of him fast, and he bumped into me. Immediately, he noticed I was going to hit the floor so he grabbed my arm, tugging me against him hard.
"Sorry."
"Did you hear me at all, Cal?"
"No, I'm sorry. I felt you calling me though.. I just... my mind isn't here. I need to find him."
"You know this has become a game, Cal.."
"I'm aware. And now, I'm stuck. I don't a choice on the matter of what to do!"
"Calabar!"
I pressed my head against him and Lucian screamed, throwing a toy across the room, making us both stop to give our attention to our son.

-Phate-
As soon as I came to, the burning in my shoulder made itself known. I wanted to scream, but I couldn't. I wanted to move, but I couldn't.
"I think he's finally coming to." a voice mumbled.
"Maybe we should help him out." someone else snickered.
I opened my eyes, feeling a slight alarm in the air. I heard the swoosh of a dagger in the air and focused slightly, stopping it in midair along with the two bodies in front of me. Groaning, I lifted my head, trying to clear my eyes.
"Aw come on Clyde! You never told us he had freakish powers!"
"That's because... I DIDN'T KNOW!" Clyde yelled.
Clyde.
Bastard.
"Did you think.. Calabar was going.. to be out tonight?" I asked in a grumble, the sweat dripping from my chest as the blur in my eyes disappeared. "You were WRONG Clyde."
"Well.. I assumed."
"Wanna see... what happens... when you assume... things.. with the wrong.. guy..."
I didn't give him the time to answer to me, or to anyone else in the room. Focusing on what I couldn't see.. I unfroze the dagger in front of my face and in mid air, turned it around slowly and pointed it toward Clyde.
"Oh shit."
"Yeah, oh shit, fuck face." I mumbled.
The dagger flew through the air like I told it to, and under the two half breeds I asked for fire as my eyes burned bright orange. I watched them flame in front of me, frozen, unable to move as the dagger hit Clyde somewhere. I didn't care where.. just somewhere. I kept my eyes on the flames, leaning my head back against the stone wall as blood dripped from my shoulder wound. A devious smirk flowed onto my face and I felt it... the happiness the happiness that someone in front of me was dying in the flames of fire I'd created.
"You piece of shit! You.. you.."
"What.. I'm what.. better? Better than YOU?!" I screamed. "Let me out! GET ME OUT OF THESE CHAINS!"
"No." he said.
And just like that I was alone.
Surrounded by my own deeds.
Death.
Death surrounded me.
