In celebration and anticipation of Larry David's and Woody Allen's upcoming feature film collaboration here is a clip of Larry appearing as a theatre manager in Woody's 1989 short film, Oedipus Wrecks.

I just commented on a clip of Allen directing Whatever Works in which I said how much i love the film, and I do, yet I'd entirely forgotten that Allen and David had worked before.

  • Vintage Curb Your Enthusiasm...

  • @eslgurucalif something tells me you're not being ironic...

  • @atlasshrugged2u no bananas or take the money and run!

  • @trisiti anyone who argues that LD is a good actor in the traditional sense is a bit silly. the fact that he constantly references how terrible he is at acting during curb (and think about how they wouldnt let george play himself on "Jerry") kinda suggests that he knows it too. however, when it comes to curb style improv... well he's just the best at it

  • @metyuewb i dunno but people seemed to like it... oh wait i actually remember why i wrote that now, cos they're all saying that line because kramer gets a small role in a woody allen film. larry david wrote that episode of seinfeld, on some small level no doubt, as a sly nod to his own experiences with having small roles in woody allen movies. i havent seen "whatever works," but i hope to god the pretzels line is at least referenced in it. if not, woody's lost his genius completely.

  • @louiecostello so what does that have to do with this??

  • @metyuewb seinfeld

  • @louiecostello when the hell is that line???

  • @modshroom she was one of the pink ladies in grease
