This is already the final episode of the « Follow Pauline » show! For the last stop of the 2011 ASP Women's World Tour, the best female riders were in Huntington Beach for the Us Open.
Pauline Ado (FRA) had just performed the best result of her career with a 3rd place in Biarritz. An impressive result which permitted her to get closer to her main objective: getting qualified for the 2012 season.
Despite the confidence gained in France, Pauline didn't manage to realize the same performance in California and was defeated during the last seconds of Round 2 by Melanie Bartels (HAW). All her attention was then focused on Laura Enever (AUS) and Paige Hareb (NZL) who both had to reach the final of the event to stop Pauline from getting qualified for next season. Fortunately, Laura and Paige had to surf against each other in Round 2 and Pauline could finally breath.
She becomes the first European female rider to be qualified on the WT two years in a row. A performance even more impressive knowing that the Tour had only seven stops this year which didn't allow any bad start.
The appointment is taken for the 2012 Women's World Tour, with Pauline who will, for sure, look a little bit higher in the world ranking.
