Havasu Family Safety Fair

Lake Havasu Parks and Recreation held a family safety fair for city residents. It was a full day of safety activities for children with bicycle safety courses, child seat safety and more. There as a fire engine pull and a raffle for prizes. GP Moto Champion and Havasu resident Eddie Lawson was there signing autographs and I GOT TO TALK WITH HIM! I was very surprise because the man was a GOD to many in the 1980's and 90's. Here is my report.

Lawson is also my all time favorite. An era now gone.

Eddie Lawson is my absolute favourite rider and the reason I got into motorcycles. I can remember being in awe of him wen I was a schoolkid dreaming about bikes.

Eddie Lawson personifies what a gentleman racer is. The riders in his era, all nationalities included, were the most exciting racers of any genre. It was a very sad day when the bike world lost Barry a few years back. I hope we have Eddie, Freddie, Kevin, Kenny, Wayne (Gardner and Rainey), Mick and the rest around for a LONG time to come. Thanx for the memories boys!
