I earlier posted (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8gKRAhgSx4) a video of my suspicion that my RSX in my new PS3 has a broken pipeline. It didn't seem to affect other games than the Motorstorm demo, so I was unsure. However, today I turned on the flashlight in Resistance and... uh oh. Definitely busted.

  • @ThreeDaysOfDan Why do you think they have more sales?LOL

I have my 360 for over a year so far,and I have played hardcore on it on holidays, and when I get awesome games.Too bad the online is not free and it only gets 3 good exclusives. The other exclusives need Kinect.

  • ps3 failure rates are 0.6-0.8% thats a couple thousand compared to the xbox 360's 34%-42% that's a few million....

  • May just be a cold solder joint dude. I don't believe they made them to fail... Nothing lasts forever. Some people sound ridiculous lol.

  • Sony expected there consoles to fail at a certain given point in time for them to release their next model that in time will eventually fail. Do note, they've released more than one version of the slimline that in their own sense have different set failure rates. Some people will get good ones, others will get bad. The goal of sony is get you through the 1 year warranty period.

  • @VTEConmyRidgeline you should probably see a doctor.

    or the military.

  • those fuckin bastards at sony. after 2 and a half years of using my 60gb ps3, it gets the YLOD so i send it in and get a refurbished one back along with a 3 month warranty. coincidentally, after 4 months, it breaks again, and tell me its either 170 for a serviced 60gb or 150 trade in for a serviced slim. im just gonna trade it in to gamestop and get a brand new slim with a warranty this time

  • lol so true. They will make "Sony Domination 32-bit SP2. LoL, Either that or they would buy out Microsoft, and all of the owners will make Bill Gates suck their dicks lol.

  • Have you lot seen Watchdog's investigation into the disc scratches the 360 does? They concluded, along with a bunch of Lawyers and an independent company, that with the slightest movement your 360 can scratch a disc. They gave it a shock impulse, acting as a footstep and one console gave up straight away. FROM A SINGLE FOOTSTEP! the second one (this one was brand new) was given a shock impulse as strong as playing guitar hero/rock band or placing something like the bible on a table near the 360.

  • They can't do anything particularly different in the market because Microsoft owns it all. So it's irrelevant what they plan on doing. Every business is the same at the end of the day, if Sony was in the same position as Microsoft of course they wouldn't have such great customer services.

But Sony aren't like Microsoft and they do have great customer services, hence why I purchased a PS3 and not a 360. ;D
