Grand Canyon Railway Steam Engine flyby - September 5, 2009

Grand Canyon Railway's 4960 making a flyby during a "Photography Run" during Labor Day Weekend 2009. The engine is powered by 100% waste vegetable oil, using NO diesel or coal! The engine will lead the train to the Grand Canyon on September 19th in honor of the Railway's 20th Anniversary.

I got much better video last night, but my Firewire cable is acting up and not working. As soon as I can get a new one, I'll get a new and better video uploaded (trust me, its BEAUTIFUL!!)

I think vegetable oil is a new fuel for 4960. So, if the price does not go up, as Peter Boyle once said, "OUT WITH THE OLD BAG, IN WITH THE NEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Well this video is a sigh of relief, I thought the Grand Canyon Railway quit running steam all together! Nice to see they still have 4960, the steam engine I want to see once I get down there sometime.

I went on the excursion they had on Saturday and it was great..I went on it twice I had so much fun.

I was there when they did this, it was great, they allowed me and my friend to get into the cab and get pictures. We felt lucky to get up in the cab.
