This project was created for Dr. Strangeloves Advertising and Society class in the summer of 2009 at the University of Ottawa. In this documentary, we used video clips found in YouTube as well as our own clips that were shot in Montreal.
This video briefly looks at the idea of food advertising as food erotica. It scratches the surface on explaining the looming fascination with food imagery in advertising, particularly on YouTube, and the popular culture. It touches upon the similarities and the overlaps between sex and hunger as basic human instincts and raises some question on implications of such imagery in todays media.
