I first heard these guys on Last.fm on my Xbox on a Dir en Grey playlist. While there are of course some similarities there are clearly some differences about these bands sounds as well.

It's really too bad people compare these bands when they've worked hard to create an identity for themselves. I'm a veteran Dir en Grey fan have been listening to them for years, and the gazette and countless other bands. I can honestly say I can tell the difference between the styles and respect each band for their Identity they've worked so hard to create.
