Windows Azure Blob Storage erlaubt die sichere, hoch-verfügbare Speicherung großer Binärdaten (BLOB = binary large objects) in Windows Azure. Inhalte werden automatisch 3-fach gespeichert. Darüber hinaus ist Geo-Replikation optional verfügbar. Holger Sirtl erklärt in diesem Video, wie Blob Storage funktioniert, was es mit Block Blobs und Page Blobs auf sich hat und welche Einsatzszenarien für Blob Storage bestehen.
