  • No, LA is just a fascinating place in all respects because of the movies -- and the literature.

  • Los Angeles is a city of always despised because in essence as the old saying goes "the good old days" well there honestly never was in this city. They always have had large scale corruption and malignancies of such disdain then and now. It's no surprise that minorities made a QUICK wasteland of it over the past 35 years. Many remember when Compton and North Long Beach were nice areas and then no different a chaotic outcome. The truth is BIG CITY then and now means BIG SCANDALS, CRIME, & FRAUD.

  • I'm not sure about crooked this and that but the number or wandering drug users have gone down about 10% from the 90's, just a personal estimate. That's just because the police got tazers now.

  • Keep up the good work with these historic videos

  • I was born in Compton and while I was growing up, it was a very different place than it is today. I don't blame minorities though. I blame corrupt government practices who destroyed the city in the of social advancement and pocketed the money without helping anyone.

  • @DetroitLove4U so true!!!!! i made a vid about the old long beach....

  • @omaudio This documentry was made for television station KCET (at the time a PBS affiliate) , Jon Wilkman Productions, 1988. The late actor Richard Widmark (Judgment at Nuremberg) is narrating.
