This is a straight take without video edits of an iSample 2.0 demo session by Jim Heintz. It was done using the built in sample bank called Chillbeat 86 that ships with iSample 2.0. This demo shows only a small fraction of the features new to iSample 2.0.

I will use this on a ipad. does it have low/high pass filters and effects? Stereo sample edit? Ability to select right or left channel? resampling?

@hustletv As you might guess, we are working on an iPad version of iSample now. We do plan to include more effects, stereo and such. The current 2.0 version has delay and reverb as effects. It already includes the ability to trim samples.

Could this be used as a non-linear audio editor and song creation tool like Ableton? I appears that way. I haven't seen anyone record live while backing tracks are in play.

This looks great. I'm creating some sound effects for a stage show and I think using this technology (or the iPad version) will be so simple to use, over minidisc/CD.

However, can you import your own samples? I don't mean record from the in-built mic.

I hope apple allows the import of .wav files to the storage space of the IPad so they can be imported to your app.

I really want to use something like this as a .wav editor to chop/slice and mangle samples sorta like recycle and soundforge. Then record them into my Akai MPC500 while i'm on the road.
