..i live and work in alberta..the only ones i can relate to at all are other maritimers, quebecers..ie people with a cultural identity like myself..i have noticed the people who knock nfld most are city bred albertans who have never had an identity other than trying to be smart alecs and tough, the closest thing they have to a culture is that massive superiority complex bred into them because of the oil in the ground, which might i add is extracted by american companies...

I'd like to take a club to the guys who shot this. It's really cultural racism, i'm sure they wouldn't make fun of Muslims or aboriginals. Canada - multicultural? No it actually hates culture (in places like Quebec and Newfoundland and the natives in Sask.), because it is real versus the fake culture it tries to produce on the CBC, which is just American hating bigotry under the thin disguise of a high-minded liberal agenda.

There may be myths here but at least we have a culture. Not like Canadians whose only cultural distinction is the word eh and a modified version of American football. Everything Canadians have is courtesy of American ingenuity and trade. Canadians are a dour, hypocritical, soul-less culture-less, empty, identity seeking automatons.

Everybody has there own opinions and ideas and there is cultural diversity all over the world, dont judge Newfoundlanders by our culture and dont try to change it....... If you do i think your a damn fool! Long live the seal hunt it will always be part of my life even if it ever in history became illegal
