Japan+ is a government-sponsored magazine which introduces various aspects of Japan to overseas readers. Each month, we present a short video related to a recent article featured in Japan+. This month we take a closer look at the attractions of a Noh performance. The performing art of Noh has a venerable history dating back some 650 years. It has received high international acclaim as an exceptional form of theatrical art and for the sophisticated acting abilities of its performers. From: nettv.gov-online.go.jp

  • i cannot see a full noh performance in youtube! and I like to watch one!... could someone help me?...

  • 超棒的!!

  • It's called Noh music and recitative. Sorry, I don't know the Japanese terms.

Perhaps the general term for both is Nougaku-on "Noh sound".

  • what do they call the music used here?
