Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is a cancer involving the nasopharynx (hind-part) of the nose. It usually originated at the fossa of Rosenmüller (FOR) area which is a cleft just behind the prominence of tubal opening. It is classified further into well, moderately, and poorly-differentiated type depending on the degree of differentiation on histopathological examination (WHO classification). Its commoner presenting symptoms include epistaxis (nose bleed) or blood-stained saliva, hearing loss (usually one side- conductive type), nose block, and neck lump (lymph node spread). This video shows cancer involving the nasopharynx with evidence of recent bleeding. Biopsy was taken for confirmation. (Yellow arrow- tumour, curve green arrow- right eustachian tube opening, red arrow- ulcerated tumour with bleeding, S- nasal septum, IT- tail of inferior turbinate, R- roof of nasopharynx)
