With the Swine Flu toll rising to 15 in the country, government has declared a shutdown in Mumbai. In wake of the spread of the swine flu all schools, colleges, private institutions as well as multiplexes and malls across Mumbai will be shut for seven days.
Government has also put a stay on all public events in city for the next three days starting from tomorrow. Bollywood which is usually buzzing with glam and glitter everyday will be in mute mode for some days.
The last of the Bollywood events in the current state of affairs will happen today evening at a suburban five star hotel where the first look of Quickgun Murugun will be unveiled. Quickgun Murugan is a spoof-comedy about a superhero with the grit of Clint Eastwood and the glam of our own South Indian superstars. Veteran Telugu actor Rajendra Prasad plays this quirky character and will make his first public appearance to Bollywood media tonight.
Going by the theme of the film where Quickgun Murugun plays a desi-cowboy, Prasad will make his grand entry on a horse. But then again keeping the swine flu threat in mind, Prasad will make an entry with an N-95 mask. In fact the production house Fox Star Studios (who distributed Slumdog Millionaire in India) has made arrangements of masks for the entire section of media who would be present at the event.
Interestingly on the unveiling of a film, the media will remain masked.
hahahahaha
