Mr. West I support you. I know what it was like in Baghdad 2004-2006. I know how tough the enemy was. I know what it takes to get your soldiers through that year. I, like yourself did things that somebody who has NEVER been there, might see as 'wrong'. That is simply an outside opinion that means jack Sh%%. I spent the best 8 years of my life defending this nation. I fought hard in 2005, and I trained em' hard as a Drill Sergeant. Somebody who hasnt been there would not understand.

I asked you where you have been within the Army to determine that you ignorant idiot. I spent 8 years on Active Duty as a GRUNT. A Rifleman you piss ant. I spent 12 months in downtown Baghdad 2005-2006. I, unlike your ignorant self know what type of leader it takes to make it through Baghdad. Just like West Does. Oh and fyi West Served 22 Years.

@11bravo1789 PART 1 Allen West is not just a retired Army lieutenant colonel, he was KICKED OUT of the military. EVERYONE IS IGNORING THIS FACT! West was charged with violating articles 128 (assault) and 134 (general article) of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. An Article 15 is the alternate to a court-martial proceeding, both are a MANDATORY FORCED TERMINATION of a soldiers Military status! How it works is, West was given a choice, to FACE CHARGES or TO RESIGN IMMEDIATELY.

@11bravo1789 PART 2 just short of his 20 years, which would have meant a loss of retirement benefits. West chose to FACE CHARGES and in doing so, West put his fate in the hands of MAJOR GENERAL ODIERNO who got West off the charges enough to let him go from the military with benefits under honorable conditions. The article 15 proceeding is an easy out, the Army’s alternative to a Court Martial. The RESULT IS THE SAME, West had NO OPTION to stay in the military, HE WAS TERMINATED.

He is just a PUNK OUTCAST, He doesn’t like to obey RULES,Allen West says that the ROE (rules of engagement) in Afghanistan is restricting our soldiers from properly engaging people who are not holding weapons and who are not displaying a hostile intent. I have actually worn the uniform, for 8 years, as an Infantryman, Ive been to combat. 2005-2006 Baghdad. Where have you been, to where you know what it was like In Iraq? What unit were you with. I was with 11th Armored Cav. Since your an expert, when were you there, and what unit were you in?
