Kwaidan (Give Me My Wings)

This is a music video I made for the movie, or a fan tribute, whatever..

Kwaidan is a Japanese classic dealing with humans and supernatural (AKA Kaidan, Ghost Stories). Based on four stories by Lafcadio Hearn and directed by Masaki Kobayashi. (Check out the visuals! They're awesome)

The song is by Tool. The atmosphere of this film fits this song so that's why I chose to use it. It's a wonderful song however, with brilliant lyrics.

I had to cut the song a little to get this video to fit in 10 minutes. Here's the rest of the lyrics if someone is interested:

"Daylight dims leaving cold fluorescence. Difficult to see you in this light. Please forgive this bold suggestion: Should you see your Maker's face tonight, Look Him in the eye, look Him in the eye, and tell Him: I never lived a lie, never took a life, but surely saved one. you are so nice to people when they leve a message. This is my fourth favorite movie this and seven samuria. My dad thingks it's stupid but i told him the shu the hell up you don't need to watch it. I love this movie!

Okay, Oh geez I can't believe I found this video! My Japanese teacher played this in my Japanese class today and I really liked the song so I went home and searched for it and what do you know! I found it! Wonderful video! I mean it must be great for my teacher to show it to us!

I'm not good at answering what's your favorite movie, or painting or piece of music ... I do favor different genres but love individuals pieces separately & differently. Strangely enough the 2 movies I have mentioned when pushed for favourites are Casablanca & this.

Indeed it's a classic and did you know this movie influenced the 1990 horror anthology Tales from The Darkside The Movie on the final story only with a gargoyle instead of a snow vampire spirit?
