China will launch an unmanned space module, Tiangong-1, sometime next week. Tiangong-1 and its carrier rocket Long-March II-F have been moved to the launch area at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China's Gansu Province.

Tiangong-1 is designed to serve as a platform for China's future spacecraft to rendezvous and dock in outer space. It will be carried into space on a Long March II-F carrier rocket and it will dock with the unmanned Shenzhou-8 spacecraft, which will be sent into space after Tiangong-1's launch.

Tiangong-1 will mainly carry out a rendezvous and docking test, so as to master rendezvous and docking technologies and accumulate experience for the construction, management and operation of a space station.

  • And China has stealth fighters, bombers, stealth ships and it's own STAR WARS platform. China is being aided by Britain, US and Israel money masters in it's quest for international #1 spot as world super power.

    Hmmmmmm. I wonder ......WHY?

Do you suppose the US will end up ......FIGHTING THE CHINESE??????

    Duh.

  • Good for China. Hopefully someday we'll all be able to work together in space, like the Russians and the rest of us. It would be nice to have Chinese cosmonauts right beside american astronauts and russian cosmonauts and europeans and everyone else. Earth is a small world, and space is infinite. Room enough for us all without petty political bickering and obsolete nationalism.

"All these worlds are yours. Use them together. Use them in peace."

  • Why not send robots in space to build space stations at a lower cost, then to have so many missions made to build those platforms in orbit?

  • Be it NASA,ESA,JAXA,FKA,or the CNSA,I don't care who does it,as long as someone is working on space exploration.

  • Good for them. However next time they should try not to make it look like a penis. lol

  • Chapeau !!!
