John: For a long time we've been talking about how lovely it would be when someone like Michael Rother would come to L.A.
After i met Michael we thought about that it would be a dream if we were his backup band.
And he found that idea also good. We talked much about it, decided what songs we could play. Josh and me we learned other songs. We did (only) two rehearsals.
Speaker: Already the last year both stood together on a stage in Hamburg. At the end of a Peppers concert Michael Rother spontaneously played a 50-minute Jam session with the band. As an unforgettable addition.
John: Somebody like Michael is part of the electronic era. He works with the computer and produces very good electronic music. I think my music could also have been done in 1971 and would just sound like today.
