Watch in HD!

Another, improved test of my jump drive effect.

Due to problems with my usual compression (for some reason it didn't want to work) I have had to use a different algorithm for this, hence it's a little lower in quality.

No sound still, sorry about that. Remember though, no sound in space right?

Again, most of the work I put into it was scene setup and rendering. You'd be surprised how complicated these files are. The particle system for this small clip took 4 hours to render. I'm working on reducing that, as it was one of my plugins that did it.

Several render layers, combined in post production.

  • Does anyone want 1,000,000 antimatter small projectiles I found them whilst salvaging in a asteroid field

  • would pay a plex to have this effect on board... oh wait! I do! :)

  • Looks like the "jump" effect in the TV show Farscape....

  • i still like it more than CCP's new effect... the over-glorified gate jump. I miss the wormhole effect :(

  • Reminds me of the jump in aquanox... really nice to see tho ^^

  • @Leenskes Well, it's debatable. I've got enough deadspace/officer junk lying around to cold build my supercaps, and the build cost for me is closer to 9b anyway because of some pretty awesome deals I have with the dronespacers.

  • @arockcalledsteve my fit is over 10 bil, so it be +/- 24 bil? :) I see what you mean that way. We sell hulls within the alliance, so.. I kinda forgot people use forums sometimes too.

  • @Leenskes Correct, however, I like to fit mine properly, either for selling or personal use ;)

  • @arockcalledsteve Correction, its about 13-14 bil to build it. :)

  • @CognitiveNetwork I worked 2 weeks for it to get one. Aint that hard to get. Working on a titan atm, takes a month or two if you are realy dedicated and spend 24/7, if not.. just take your time :)
