The Turtle Topper is one of the most innovative basking platforms to come around in a long time for aquatic turtle lovers. The design is so simple, yet to date, no other manufacturer has brought this concept to the aquatic turtle hobbyist. Paul Demas, Product Manager for Reptology, a division of Penn Plax Inc. gives Bill Horneck a complete run through of all the features and benefits of this great habitat and husbandry item. Basking and thermo regulation has never been so easy to achieve for your pet turtles. For a complete set of information more go to: http://www.pennplax.com or http://www.reptilestv.com

No, turtles (RES's, anyway) need to eat in water. Turtles cannot swallow on land.

Whoa, dude. Please don't tell me you're planning on keeping (or already keeping) a turtle in a 15 gallon tank. Please, please, don't keep a turtle in such a small tank.

No it wont handle a full grown female RES, but it can handle a full grown male RES, which is what I have.If you have a female RES , you will have to make a homemade one. You can find out how by looking on youtube.

He said up to a 55 gallon so I doubt it would fit a female RES. I had one that got to 8 9 inches.

What is the largest size these come in? I have a red-ear slider female and she is too big for most floating docks.
