At first I questioned myself on whether to post this publically. Then I remembered what my channel is all about. It's a video diary of my progress, which SHOULD contain my "less than perfect performances" because at the end of the day, I'm still a beginner and if I waited until things were "perfect" or "polished," I would never make an entry into this diary of mine.

That being said, here is "Sleepwalk," played in the style and (roundabout) arrangement of my guitar hero, Brian Setzer.

Sure, I miss a lot of notes. Sure, I get snagged on some of the trickier parts, but THAT'S THE FUN, right?

This has NOT been an easy song for me to learn, and I wouldn't be even REMOTELY close had it not been for my great friend Straymouse here on Youtube, (http://youtube.com/straymouse) whose encouragement, advice and support I can't even begin to describe.

すばらしい友人であり、私があなたなしでするものを私は、Straymouse 知らない。

Also, special thanks to Michael Monteiro (http://youtube.com/montesshack) who taught me how to play that nifty Cmaj7 at the end. :-)

  • Good job, tough song to cover, I'm trying to blend 4 styles of it into one song. Eventually I'll get it, you did great!

  • Nice Dog :D

  • again, great job. how long did it take u to learn that?

  • youve got it

  • thats amazing man! great work!

  • Hey - very nice job. I can see that you struggled a little at roughly 1:28 where you wanted to slide down again. Easy way out is to use a "normal" D-Sharp- shaped chord and to just play the three high strings (g h e) - slide frets 7 10 7 4. You know what I man ;-) - done. Anyway - very nice job :-) All the best ... and lovely dog :-)
