Theme from Lawrence of Arabia

The theme from the 1962 classic film "Lawrence of Arabia". Composed by the legendary Maurice Jarre and originally performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The musical score for the film won "Best Music" at the Oscars--one of seven won by the film.

This particular version is performed by the piano duo Ferrante and Teicher and is taken off one of their CD's that had movie soundtracks. I own none of this copyrighted material.

To agree with you, as I am of a similar age, but to also go with the guy you replied to, it's down to intelligent dialogue and good acting. Not mediocre acting like we are subjected to (on the whole that is, there is the occasional exception but they're left all alone in a bewildering, mindless concoction of crap) these days.
