Faber-Castell USA recently received its first ever ADDY award for a video on the now famous PITT artist pen line. Produced with Think Media, a local video production company, the video features our Creative Academy artist Don Colley doing life drawings around the city of Cleveland - on an RTA train, at the West Side Market, and in Public Square. Done in a bold and vibrant style the 4.29 minute long video captures the excitement of the city as inspiration, while showing off the versatility of PITT artist pens for on-the-go artwork. As Don remarks in the video, this is the one tool that gives me the biggest range of things I can do!

  • I have always been a faber girl, was introduced to them by my art teacher. (awesome guy) but these pens. I want them. I truly dislike drawing with ball point pens. Especially train drawing. it's not as great to draw with markers that have nibs. Most that I do use stink and I get light headed. These are a must have. I will get them next tuesday.

  • I sat in on a demo this man gave today, in Palo Alto, CA. I had no interest whatsoever in being sold on anything, and dang, based on his sincerity, capacity, understanding, and VERY elegant way with words - I believe him. And believing an outstanding artist passionate about his tools? Best way to be introduced to a new product ever. I'm sold. Which means, alternately, I'm buying. Thank you.

  • totally want it!!!

  • i do my drawings on the go always with a pencil and/or polychromos (of course from faber-castell)

i think i will try these artist pens out =)

Don Colley is a great artist :) awesome video :)
