@gearsofwargod3295 Darrell was a very good player and was one of the few left-handed hitting catchers that were in baseball. I was saddened to hear that he passed away in 2002. Darrell, you left us all too soon and you are missed. It's a shame you aren't in Cooperstown.

Those guys were a pleasure to watch play, Whitey lead them undoubtedly, the players were special despite some personal issues - they do not get enough credit for what they accomplished......and Lonnie was safe when he stole home in that series. I saw him later in life at a restaurant and left him in peace - what a great player - thanks Lonnie.
