Some shots from the morning of the 2009 Quiksilver in Miemory of Eddie Aikau... about one hour before the start of the contest. You can see the Hawaiian Water Patrol trying to clear the line up. One of the best swells to hit Waimea in years and these poor guys were kicked out of the water. The least we could do is post some of their waves.
