I bought it in 1971 as soon as it was imported in Italy, I was 12. I listened to it continously and my parents were desperate ... good times!

As close to 'Sister Ray' as we are likely to get. I forgot how great this is and am heading to Amazon right now...

It was experimental when it came out. At least it wasn't something you would hear on radio back then. When FM underground stations got going you could hear ANYTHING and it was all played in the same set of music that flowed together. It was music with your mind in mind. This still sounds wonderful to me.

all churches are devoted to a deadly disease. think about it! :)

It sounds pleasant enough, but why exactly is this considered 'experimental'? A white-man-funky one chord jam with some interesting sounds - groups had been doing that since the mid '60's.
Isn't this what he would have later judged "the problem with classicists" in Songs for Drella?
