I bought one new in 1981, but it was a firebird, same colour, with the silver interiour, silver seats and dash & plate, and a unusual item, a built in factory booster (on dash) radio.None I knew had the booster in even the TA's. My buddy had the black TA,1979, with Gold bird. I put silver mags on mine, and added much of the TA style to it later. Cost, 14,680.00 new. 305, I put in a high lift cam. Problems, the Cam for 1981s wore fast. The doors were heavy also on the pins. Excellent cars though!
