Carrol Quigley was able to examine their then secret documents for 2 years, and studied their group for 20 years, and then he wrote 2 books about it. now you might call into question Carrol Quigley's reliability, but no one seriouslly disputes that, and he was bill clinton's mentor and proffesor.

@CammieSpectrum The extent that this "elite" is organized, homogenous and collusive is difficult for me to believe. While there may very have pockets of collaborators, I don't see how a group of several thousand could collude without a large (and thus easily perceivable & overthrow-able) formal regulatory institution.
The fact that even concentrated power is dispersed to a degree would go long way towards explaining power struggles & instability rather than uniform oppression.

@Scientisticsoviet it's not nuanced at all. The Rhodsian Network, layed out in Carrol Quigley's Book, Tragedy & Hope, explains a much more orderlly power structure of this elite class. he makes it seem like they are more fragmented.
