@Venkykan1 it depends upon the music director & his assistants or arranger for the orchestra & rythm. since madan mohan was a gr8 legend having vast knolege of classical as wel as light music, might have remained his choice for bongo in the rythm. otherwise bass drum or bass guitar wud hv also better suited as rythm in this sweet & melodious composition. even then our salutes to the gr8 masters madan mohan & rafi sahib.

Saw this movie at Madras way back in 66 primarily for the music of the great Madan Mohan and the ever soothing voice of the matchless Rafi Saab. The song ii still as enchanting as it was when I first heard it. Timeless music.
