  • TurretinFan needs to stop debating Lou Rugg so TF will quit embarrassing himself. Lou clearly demolishes any opponent that comes up against him. He just preaches the Bible. No inferences here!

    (I'm totally kidding, btw.)

  • He totally places reformed theology on trial. With no witnesses, a biased jury, and a judge whose car you crashed into on the way to court that morning. :)

  • @RPenta, Last time I checked John Calvin didn't teach anything new that wasn't already believed by early Christians who had copies of the books that are now in the Bible. Predestination, election, the scope of the atonement, total depravity-all those could only be found through God's written word. Without the written word of God, how could any Christian find those truths? That is why Paul, John, Luke, Mathew, Mark, etc.., wrote to the churches, to understand God's plan for those who believe.

  • Romans8:7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot.

Pharaoh could have obeyed Gods commands? It looks like man, in his flesh, cannot obey God.

  • Does anyone know if this debate was done on Paltalk? if so what room? thanks.

  • @oldno74 At the risk of playing the Devil's Advocate, it was nice of God to finally send John Calvin so that he could teach Europe and America what true Christianity is some 1500 years after Jesus' Ascension-seems a bit tardy on God's part.

  • @oldno74 Thank you so much Brother!

  • @CBALLEN

I found it! You can listen to it at vimeo. Type in dave hunt & james white in the search.

    Enjoy!

  • @oldno74 You're so right,I've tried to find that debate again on the net and I believe that it's been removed.Didn't they have an informal debate while James was hosting someone elses radio show?If you know where I can find it again,Id' love to know.

  • @CBALLEN

Agreed!! Have you ever listened to the debate between James White and Dave Hunt? Very frustrating to listen to a man clearly bounce around the text and avoid all Scripture that proves Calvinism or I should say, Biblical teaching!

  • We also read in TBO Revelation, that there will come a time when men will seek to die ,but they won't be able to.Talk about interfering with man's "free will",it appears that men will try to kill themselves to escape the torment of God's judgments, but God will not even allow men to die or commit suicide.Again,I believe that if Jonah would have tried to kill himself,God would not have allowed him to.There are just so many scriptures that totally refute man having control over anything not allowed

  • @oldno74 I've had sooo many people claim that if God controlled man's "free will"then we are no more than puppets. All I have to say to that is,I don't understand why God does what HE does, but the examples of what I've seen in the Bible shows me beyond a shadow of a doubt that God's WILL will be done, regardless of what man's intentions are.Look at Jonah for example,he tried everything he could ,not to do what God ordered him to do,yet God cut him off at every pass and Jonah did God's will.
