East Carolina Bank Almost Puts Small Business of Out Business

After logging in 14 hour days seven days a week building a small business, I often wondered why we were struggling and not making ends meet.

Being a great salesman I focused on marketing and building the business, I did not pay close attention to the books. We had grown from the 3rd page on Google to the first! Search Car Dealer Supplies on Google and you will find us Carguyz.com.

It was not until the years end that my bookkeeper saw the problem. We paid over $18,000 in bank fees to ONE BANK! Yes $18,000. So much for watching the hen house.

I had asked the bank on numerous occasions how they calculate the balance and they could never tell me. They would look at the computer screen and then use a calculator and write down a number on a piece of paper. Even the bank did not know my balance.

I contacted the FDIC, the Department of Consumer Affairs, the Atty General, and everyone all told me sorry, on how they could not help as I was not a consumer but a business and not covered.

Even the Board of Directors of East Carolina Bank has refused to respond to my email.

Do I take blame for not watching what they were doing, YES! But how much is enough? This is a travesty based on a banks greed and deceptive practices that has caused me not only to loose money but loose sleep and almost my business.

We bailed the banks out for making bad loans, their decision. Who bails me out when I deal with a bad bank? Please help me fight this unjust and greedy bank.
