I had the opportunity to interview Woody Allen at the beginning of his amazing career. The interview was done August 1966, in the kitchen of the Americana Hotel in New York City, between his stand-up comedy shows. Please excuse the sound quality and the noise, since it was done in the kitchen of the hotel.
Before the interview Woody asked me if he should do the interview straight or make it funny and I asked him to make it funny, which he did.

  • Thanks for your comment. This interview was done by a 20 year old at the time. I'd like to see you do an interview better than this when you were that age! Oh wait, you wouldn't have known how to get in touch with a celebrity, now would you?

  • wow is this interviewer a dope.

  • @jrock56eb No problem. This was a really exciting find.

  • @JGuildersleeve Good catch! 1968 sounds a lot better. The passage of time makes one forget. Thanks for being so factual.

  • Very cool. Thank you. Also, I would definitely defer to you on this, but are you sure that it's 1966? Casino Royale which you say you've seen in this clip came out in 1967, and Take The Money and Run was shot in 1969. Given these facts, I might place the interview more around 1968. But again, you were there not me.
