@mcdowelli76 Ah cool. Thanks for the reply.

@dopeyoak It's more or less supervised exploration out in the yard. Give 'em a yard with enough stuff to climb on and they'll do the rest.

@mcdowelli76 how do give a snake exercise?

If you have a ten foot Irian jaya male, then I am certain that you would have the only one in the whole fucking world. Irian Jaya Carpets are the smallest species of Morelia spilota, and males are even smaller then the females. I doubt you are telling the truth. Coastals are the largest species of Carpets and to say that you have a 10 foot Irian Jaya, that would rival the size of Coastals. Nice try buddy.

Just out of curiosity what are the dimensions for the Coastal's enclosure?
I think it was in 1974 they caught a wilf female coastal that was 13'10 or 11" . My big girl is a little over 8'. I hope she has a couple feet more. I have a friend who has a 10' irian jaya male .Feed 'em well ,lots o' excercise and watch 'em grow. :)

Good one. They seem like nice pets.

how big is it?

I think it was about 7 or 8 feet. Taller than your normal tall guy. It can grow a couple more feet, but will get wider with age.

ahh ok. i thought they only get 8 ft. max. Are you going by what the guy said?
philipmichael93 3 years ago
No what I have read on the web on musueum or herpetological sites. Generally as you said 7 to 8 ft is the norm and the figure given for normal maximum lengths, but in rare cases very old snakes have been found to 13 to 14 ft (in the wild). What that guy in the video said was that they can get to 10 ft (I think from memory, as I have deleted this off my PC but still have the tape). We once saw a big python crossing a road in Qld, but it was probably only 7ft - still very impressive.
