During my career, I have done weather in Montana, San Diego, and Phoenix full time, and filled in for Weekend TODAY, and while anchoring at NBC10 in Philly and Cn8, The Comcast Network. Here are a few clips from the past few years of helping out while our meteorologist was on vacation.
Connie Colla and Ron Hoon were the best thing on Phoenix television. No flashy graphics, no real regulars on the show, faux tensions between Ron and Connie, Ron's bad jokes, Connie's command of adding to the English lexicon (she came up with the nickname "The Hooner" for her former co-anchor and the use of more than one Elvis as "Elvii", etc.).
Hasn't been anything half as entertaining on Phx morning TV since.

Hi Connie, I used to watch you when I lived in Phoenix and you did the Ron and Connie gig. I was disappointed when I found out you took a job in Philly or something like that and were no longer on my local station. You're awesome!

I remember you in Phoenix Channel 12! You were doing a live spot at a company that was laying off employees and you said "Mass Defecations" insted of Mass Defections. I thought Cheryl Parker (Anchor) was going to pass out from laughfter. Best wishes to you!!
